About me

I was born in 1972 in Afghanistan. I was about 8 years old when my family migrated to Iran to flee the war. I studied In Iranian schools and went to University to study physics. I started studying Islam when I was about 28. I returned to Afghanistan right after the fall of Taliban regime. I managed to establish a cultural centre and later on a newspaper with help of other Afghan intellectuals. I was the founder, publisher and editor- in- chief of the paper. I was arrested for the accusation of blasphemy to Islam in one of my articles and sentenced to death but soon after I was released by Afghan president Hamid Karzai, because of a huge international pressure. Now I live in Hamilton Ontario, Canada.
